Online CNA Training

This online non-credit training program consists of a combination of 4 weeks of online instruction, in addition to two days of face-to-face lab instruction, and two days of face-to-face hands-on clinical practice. This training is appropriate for those who do not need college credit (a record of course completion on his/her official college transcript).

The course is delivered in an online format that involves logging into an online class to complete coursework and participate in discussions for a period of four weeks, attending two (2) 8-hour lab days, and attending two (2) 8-hour clinical days. Students will be qualified to take the National Nurse Aid Assessment Program (NNAAP) examination consisting of both a written and skills test. Testing date to be determined with the successful completion of course requirements.

The online portion of the class will run from April 16 through May 11.

Participants are required to complete two (2) 8-hour lab days and two (2) 8-hour clinical days as part of the training. Lab days are scheduled to occur May 12 & 13, 2018 and are held 8:00AM - 5:00PM at Bergstrom Technical Center, Lake Region State College, 1801 College Dr N, Devils Lake, ND 58301. Clinical days are scheduled to occur May 19 & 20, 2018 and are held from 6:30AM - 3:00PM at Eventide Heartland Care Center, 620 14th Ave NE, Devils Lake, ND 58301.

A Mantoux test for prior exposure to TB (tuberculosis) must be completed and a copy of results submitted to TrainND Northeast prior to participating in the clinical portion of the class. This may be obtained at your local public health office or your physician's office. Click here for a guide on Mantoux testing.

If you are attending class during the November 1 - March 1 timeframe, it is strongly recommended students are up-to-date with the influenza vaccination.

Cost includes books, training materials, laboratory fees, and instruction from an experienced Registered Nurse instructor. Upon successful completion of the program, TrainND will cover your testing fee for the NNAAP written exam and skills test.
